He corresponded a combined 63 times over 13 days to schedule a meeting. He has two references that spoke highly of him and said that he was a perfect gentleman. He complied perfectly up until it was time to send a deposit to confirm our meeting.
He made every excuse for why he was “having difficulty” sending a deposit. I provided him with several options, all of which he claimed he could not get to work. Each time he would write in the morning and reply well after business hours claiming he couldn’t make it to the bank.
When I finally suggested a gift card he replied that he wasn’t interested in purchasing a gift or gift card for someone that he hadn’t met. Even when I expressed that it was a show of good faith since he had spent the past 3 days asking for my bank information while not having sent the deposit.
He cancelled the same day without paying my cancellation policy. Maybe he is a “gentleman” and works out for someone else. But for me he is a dud and not someone I would see unless he paid my cancellation fee. He tried to suggest PayPal the last minute before ghosting and I told him that PayPal was not an option because it is not very friendly to our industry.
Book him at your own risk if you are prepared to be strung along and have him cancel and no-show.
