He had booked me months in advance for last May. He did show up, but then he started trying to fish for a discount on his next date. He also started texting and emailing to chat. I told him I didn’t appreciate the attempt at haggling and that resulted in more texts and emails. He has pestered me for months but I just toured his city and suddenly he had nothing to say, even though he had talked about booking for this visit and for several other specific dates.
